Re-issued to mark the one year anniversary of this debut album, and SUNSETBLVRD has been off to a great start with other fine material, but all things considered, Half Awake remains an impressive debut album The clean, bright production and adventurously diverse selection of samples provide an atmospheric and aesthetic listening that is at once easy on the ears, while fully interesting and engaging. This artist is just getting started, with only a few album in the catalog, but Half Awake foretells good things to come, past present and future.
