Tabount Shenanigans 2 is the work of a trickster, laying out sonic booby traps and Easter eggs with a deft hand, a sense of humor, and what feels like a higher purpose, as though we are supposed to do something or become something or maybe we’re just supposed to jump up and start dancing our asses off. This music blasts the mind into bits—but holds it all together with relentlessly tight and sophisticated percussion. Speaking of percussion, yeah; I don’t even know what’s going on here, but I’ve never heard anything quire like it. The man has the secret sauce. Shenanigans, indeed! Buckle up; this is a wild ride.
